Simplicity Redefined: Mastering Minimalism in Interior Design

Simplicity in Interior Design

There are many different struggles of life today. With this struggle for life, our body and soul become very tired. We are trying to get away from stressful days. We do activities such as meditation, sports, sightseeing, etc. We try to survive with the lightest elements in every subject. We spend a lot of time at home as well as at work. Especially after Covid-19, we started to use our living space as an office with the model of working from home. We also went to change the living space. So, what should we avoid when changing?

1- Simplicity

It should be the most important title. With simplicity, you can rearrange your living spaces and lighten your soul and body. In your subconscious, there is an area occupied by every element in your work and living spaces. The more of these items, the more tired you will feel.

2- Few Items

While talking about simplicity in item 1, the most important step will be to have less items. As soon as you step into the house, from your television to the painting on the wall, each one gives you energy. Because of the energy density you are exposed to at the end of the day, you either feel very tired or it can cause insomnia. What you need to do; getting away from all the items that you do not use in your home or that do not add value to you. You can best decide what you need.

3- Decoration in light colors

With light colors, you will benefit from the distribution of sunlight in your home. The more sunlight you are exposed to, the more energetic and healthy you will be. With dark colors, you may feel tired and bored in your subconscious. Especially tones such as cream, white, light gray may seem boring to you, but they will be the most suitable for your mental and physical health.

4- Decoration with Natural Items

Bring the substances or living things found in nature to your home so that you can find the naturalness you lost in your living space. Try to stay close to nature with plants, processed wood items, wicker boxes, a marble table. No matter how processed, there are still products that contain a few cells from nature. For example, since marble comes out of the ground, the minerals under the ground enter your home. You transfer extra flavor and health to your meals with crushed garlic in a marble mortar.
